Wedding Day - Part 2

We arrived to the church, St Ignatius of Antioch. It is a stunning church that I fell in love with from the day we walked in! Marble pillars, stained glass windows, just lovely.

According to the "rules" I was not permitted to enter the church until told so by the sweet little nun who coordinated everything. So I had to break another "rule" and have a glass of champagne while waiting. Brian had sent over a letter. It was the most beautiful, and loving words I had ever read. I started to tear up, and wanted to just run into the church and marry him right that second.

The time had finally come! I was escorted to the church. Not a nerve in sight. I wanted to marry my very best friend. The moment I walked in I saw the Beautiful flower arrangements our florist had made. Stunning.

My Uncle walked my Mom down the Aisle too!

Next I asked the music coordinator is he could play the instrumental version of "Marry Me" by Train. As soon as I heard it I got so excited. My dad was more nervous then I was, although I am sure he would never admit it. He was also so happy and full of joy. He knew Brian was an amazing man - and his daughter was in good hands!

I love how all of the ladies are looking at my train / veil!

The look on my handsome Husband to be's face was truly priceless, I will never forget it....

So in love....

We had a Catholic ceremony. It was beautiful. Our parish has a Singer with the voice of an angel. She sang the Ave Maria when we presented roses to the statue of Mary - I had goosebumps the whole song!

It was time for vows after that....I wish I could incorporate every single part of the ceremony, but there were so many details, I am afraid most blog readers would get a bit bored ....

Our Kiss was magical. You know you got "it" when your priest tells you to end the kiss ! Lol!  We were just so happy to be married. It was by no means inappropriate, might I add.  Just a moment in time, a memory to cherish....

Directly after the Kiss.....lots of smiles after the priest joked
We were pronounced Husband and Wife, the ceremony ended, and we went outside. I cannot explain how HAPPY we were in words. Pictures will do

Next Post.......Wedding Party and Reception!
