We flew out to St Maarten hours after our wedding reception! It was truly a gorgeous place with so much to do!
Here is the view from our Balcony

| I had this photo idea, and it was awesome. Only because I survived lol |

| Brian got in on the fun too! |
We went Ziplining and Hiking at Loterie Farm. It was a once in a lifetime experience. It was physically challenging, but so rewarding once we finished. I was a bit freaked out by the monstrous wasps that seemed to be everywhere, even high in the treetops. But we (unlike our poor guide) made it out without getting stung. Our Hike after zipping was absolutely breathtaking. We hiked up a mountain, and were treated to the most beautiful view on the Island.

Every night after dinner we went to a Gelato Place and indulged. The advertisement was a bit over the top...but after experiencing the gelato, We totally understood. My favorite combo was Nutella + Coconut!

One night we went on what they called a sunset cruise. It was absolutely beautiful scenery, but even more fun! They served us a traditional Caribbean food - and the signature "Rum Punch" all night long. That Rum punch was great, and if your cup was half full - they brought you a new one. Later on in the evening we sat on a glass deck and could see the fish underneath! Then Lots of Music and Dancing!! We had a blast. Brian is not a big dancer, so I got out there and danced ! We met an amazing couple Raeanne and Jeremy. They were also Newlyweds. We partied all night long with them. We went to a Bonfire down the Beach, and there was a dj there too. Whats amazing iw we still keep in touch via Facebook with them! Maybe one day we will see them again :)

We also took a day trip to the next Island over : Anguilla. It was hands down the most beautiful beach and water I have ever been to! We are talking white sands and crystal clear water! We loved it so much we wanted to stay the night....but we went back to St Maarten! In Anguilla, you have to drive on the LEFT side of the road. Then throw in a bunch of roundabouts, and it is enough to make your head spin! Luckily Brian drove the entire trip.....Any ways, we rented a car for the day, and went to an amazing beach. There was a restaurant right there too so we had lunch there. One of the locals hung out with us for lunch , and we spoke about life and love , and I found out he loved to dance...lol It was one of those moments in life when you meet a total stranger and take back a memory you can never forget. To this day I wonder how he is....did he reunite with that lady in the picture that he loved so dearly, and was he still dancing.
After lunch we enjoyed the beach , and went to another beach on the other side of the island. That beach was littered with thousands of shells. We learned quickly that hundreds of these shells were inhabited with hermit crabs!!!! So cool. We enjoyed the view - we could see our Island and a rainbow in the distance! It was such a great day....

I cant find our other pictures, they are around here somewhere....Perhaps I can add later! These pictures really do not do justice...
When we got back to St Maarten we enjoyed the rest of the day. We traveled to many different beaches, and honestly did not see all of them - there was just so much to see and do! We even went horseback riding on the beach - but unfortunately the waterproof camera was very low quality.
Our last day there I wanted to hit the beach. Brian said he wanted to relax in the condo - so I walked down myself and enjoyed some beautiful sunshine and a dip in the sea. I did not realize the current was a bit rough - and am a very inexperienced swimmer. I went in about waist deep(which I had done the entire trip) , I turned around and a HUGE wave was heading over my head! I took a deep breath and it took me under.
My knee slammed into a bunch of rocks, shells and coral...I felt it and knew it was bad. I was honestly more embarrassed that one or more of the 7 people on the beach saw me so I walked back to my chair hoping nobody noticed the bloody knee. I saw my knee and knew I had to go to first aid. It was a half of a mile walk UPHILL. I was too embarrassed to get my new husband - so I went and the locals were very nice. It was not your normal treatment. They asked if I wanted to go to the hospital - of course I said no! We had an awesome dinner planned hours later. So they dumped pure iodine on it and that was that.

Our last night was amazing. We went out to a nice dinner on a deck overlooking the sea. We split the BIGGEST lobster I have ever seen in my life!It was like 5 pounds! It was delicious. It was a perfect ending to our last night....Of course we did grab some gelato and a few glasses of wine on our balcony afterward.
Though we did not want to leave, we had to. It was by far the best vacation of our life! Before we left we had one last stop before our flight. The Driftwood Boat Bar on Maho Beach! We had visited our second day - and vowed to return for the view, experience, and the MOST delicious Pina Coladas we have ever had!

So we said so long to our Island Paradise....Perhaps one day we shall return. Until then, Thanks for the Lovely Honeymoon Memories!
